Now Surendra Yadav roots for Tejashwi as Nitish’s successor

Patna,(BiharTimes): Now it is former minister and RJD MLA from Belaganj in Gaya district, Surendra Prasad Yadav, who on Monday voiced the slogan: “PM Nitish ko banayenge aur CM Tejashwi ko.” (Will make Nitish Kumar prime minister and Tejashwi Yadav as the CM).

However, observers are of the view that he had said so not out of love for Nitish Kumar but to express his loyalty towards Lalu Prasad, who too had last year backed Nitish Kumar’s candidature for the post of PM.

Surendra was also supported by the disaster management minister Chandrashekhar Yadav.

RJD’s Bhagalpur MP Sailesh Kumar alias Bulo Mandal has repeatedly been making this demand.

Incidentally, Surendra said so before the arrival of deputy CM at Magadh divisional level meeting of the party in Gaya’s Gandhi Maidan.

The message is clear: these RJD leaders see no chance of Nitish Kumar leaving the post of chief minister in near future. The best way would be to project him as the PM and thus paved the way for Tejashwi to become CM.

Surendra showered praise on Tejashwi and called him suave leader, who has the experience of running the government. The MLA, known for his muscle power, went on to compare Tejaswhi with UP CM Akhilesh Yadav.

But then if RJD pushes the candidature of Nitish forcefully there would be a problem in alliance. Congress is already trying to project its vice president Rahul Gandhi as PM candidate for 2019 Lok Sabha election.

Lalu, in particular, can not afford to antagonize Rahul Gandhi too. Besides, he had problem within his family too.

Making Tejashwi a CM so early in age may not be acceptable to his eldest daughter and Rajya Sabha MP, Misa Bharati, who is quite active. Eldest son Tej Pratap, who is the health minister, may not accept his younger brother as the CM so eagerly.
