Dasrath Manjhi’s village soon to be on rail map





Patna,(BiharTimes): The village of Dasrath Manjhi, the legendry ‘Mountain Man’  will soon be on the rail map of the country. Gehlaur, the native village, will soon be connected as track would be laid between Wazirganj and Natesar in Gaya district.

According to the Danapur divisional railway manager (DRM) R K Jha the project would be completed on a priority basis up to a stretch of about 20 km as a mark of respect to Manjhi.

The Budget has also sanctioned Rs 100 crore for the track doubling work between Kiul and Gaya. Wazirganj falls in between these two stations.

Jha said after the completion of this doubling work more passenger trains would run between Kiul and Gaya.

Besides, a new line will be laid on 118 km long stretch between Bihta and Anugrah Narayan Road (Aurangabad).

It would be completed at a cost of Rs 326 crore and link Grand Chord and Main Line.
