Sixth ISI agent Ranjay Shah arrested





Patna,(BiharTimes): The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested Ranjay Shah (21), a resident of Athmuhan village under Ghorasahan police station in East Champaran district of Bihar, in train mishap case.

This is the sixth arrest in connection with the probe into the role of Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) in directly funding agents to effect train derailments in India.

According to an NIA official Shah was arrested and produced before a designated court in Patna. He has been remanded to eight days custody.

Shah was arrested twice earlier in two separate cases relating to theft and violation of the Arms Act. He along with other arrested accused Uma Shankar had planted the pressure cooker IED on the railway tracks in Ghorasahan, the NIA officer said.
