Lalu seeks action against all those involved in Dalit girl’s sexual exploitation case
Patna,(BiharTimes): Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad said on Friday that he had spoken to chief minister Nitish Kumar, asking him to take quick action against those involved in the Dalit minor girl’s sexual exploitation case.
Talking to the media he said this is a very serious matter, as the girl belongs to the Dalit community.
He said she had come to meet him with her family members to seek justice.
“I asked them to meet the chief minister and on my request Nitish met the aggrieved family. We cannot tolerate such things,” he said.
Automobile businessman Nikhil Priyadarshi is the main accused in the case, while his brother Manish Priyadarshi and friend Sanjeet Kumar Sharma are co-accused. The case was lodged at the SC/ ST police station in Patna on December 22 last year.
Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Bihar, has expanded its sphere of probe in the high-profile sexual exploitation case.
The name of outgoing BPCC vice president Brajesh Pandey figure in this case. He is said to be close to the main accused Nikhil.
