Congress sanguine of Nitish’s support on anti-demonetization campaign: Salman
Patna,(BiharTimes): Senior Congress leader and former External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid on Friday hoped that chief minister Nitish Kumar would surely support the campaign against demonetization as he had said that his party would review the decision after the expirty of 50 days time period.
He said his party would convince Nitish to oppose demonetisation. Khurshidsaid talks are on with the Janata Dal (United) to convince it to take a stand against demonetisation.
He was in Patna to drum up support in favour of the Congress party’s stand.
He told mediapersons that a number of questions on the motive and execution of demonetisation are already pending before the constitutional bench of Supreme Court.
Ruling out any pressure tactic former Union minister said that the Bihar CM is a diligent mass leader and he would take a decision after detailed analysis and consultation with his party members.
