SuMo contests JD(U)’s accusation of no Centre fund for Prakash Utsav





Patna,(BiharTimes): Asking the Janata Dal (United) leaders not to politicize the good work done in Patna on the occasion of Prakash Utsav senior BJP leader and former deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi on Tuesday claimed that it is wrong to say that the Centre had made no contribution for the celebration of 350th birth anniversary of Guru Govind Singh.

In a statement he said that Union ministry of tourism sanctioned Rs 41.53 crore for the development of Patna Saheb. The Bihar government had already received Rs 20.76 crore in two instalment and rest of the amount would be released after it submits the utilization reports.

According to him the Railways had also investeed Rs 40 crore for the success of the Utsav.

The fund had been sanctioned for the reconstruction of Patna Sabeb station building, development of Patna Ghat station and construction of road overbridge at Patna Saheb.

SuMo also said that the Centre has also shared 70 per cent of the money for the purchase of luxury buses for Utsav.

The BJP leader’s statement came after repeated praise of the state government for very good work done for the five lakh pilgrims. Devotees coming from India and abroad applauded the arrangements, Former Punjab chief minister and Congress leader Captain Amrinder Singh gave credit to Bihar CM Nitish Kumar.
