Lalu’s seat arrangement: Media making mourtain out of molehill

Patna,(BiharTimes): As predicted by BiharTimes on the day of PM’s visit to Patna, a section of media, especially the regional television channels, along with the RJD vice president, Raghuvansh Prasad Singh, had made an issue out of virtual non-issue.

Though Lalu Prasad did not raised the issue and his two sons Tej Pratap and Tejaswi also rubbished Raghuvansh’s claim that RJD chief was not given due respect by not being given place on the dais, some regional electronic channels continued to made it a news.

Lalu’s sons told the media that things were arranged as per the protocol, the local TV channels held panel discussions on this issue when there was absolutely no scope whatsoever.

Incidentally, not only the anchors, but even some BJP leaders in the debate started seeing Lalu as a mass leader who had not been given his due.

“The big question is if Lalu and his sons had no complaint why is it that the channels going overboard and repeatedly highlighting the view of Raghuvansh. Ironically, there is hardly any taker in the RJD of Raghuvansh’s view, who after his defeat in the 2014 Lok Sabha election had been giving statements just to remain in the news.

Everyone knows this, but in this era when channels have 24 hours to fill all non-issues are made issues to befool the people.
