SC girls upset over RLSP MLA’s questioning over death of school-mate

Patna,(BiharTimes): Girls belonging to the Scheduled Castes community of the Ambedkar Government Girls High School at Dighi Mazirabad in Vaishali district were upset over the way the Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP)  MLA from Chenari, Lallan Paswan, on Tuesday put questions before them regarding the death of a Class-X student of the same institute.

The young girls were asked questions like:  “Which part of the body of the dead girl was full of blood? Was it the lower half of the body?”

When one girl replied: “yes,” the MLA, without bothering to take into account the age of the girls, said: “This means she was gang-raped before being murdered. Why are you afraid of speaking up the truth? If criminals enter the hostel and into your room and this happens to you, what will you do if you do not speak now?”

Dika Kumari’s body, as reported, was found lying in a pool of blood close to a drain near the main gate of the school-cum-hostel campus on Sunday.

The girls were puzzled as to in which capacity was an opposition MLA asking such questions.

Reports suggest that the party chief and Union minister Upendra Kushwaha had pulled up the legislator for asking such questions from the girls.

Madhepura MP and Jan Adhikar Party leader Pappu Yadav had demanded arrest of Lallan Paswan.
