Patna,(BiharTimes): A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) was filed in the Patna High Court on Monday seeking directions for an independent inquiry into the Saturday boat tragedy.
In all 25 people lost their lives in the tragedy.
It was filed by a lawyer Mani Bhushan Pratap Segar demanding an “independent” probe into the boat tragedy.
In his PIL the lawyer has alleged that the Patna and Saran district administrations as well as the Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation (BSTDC) are to blame for the tragedy and, as such, they should be punished under the Bihar Disaster Management Act, 2007.
