Lalu, not Nitish, looking after depts held by RJD ministers: SuMo
Patna,(BiharTimes): Senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi on Tuesday alleged that it is RJD chief Lalu Prasad and not chief minister Nitish Kumar, who monitors the Bihar government departments held by ministers belonging to Rashtriya Janata Dal.
The blame for the tragedy is being put on tourism and transport departments. While Anita Devi is the tourism minister the transport portfolio is in the hands of Chandrika Rai––both are RJD leaders.
While the kite festival was organized across the Ganga by tourism department it is the transport department, which looks after the operation of boats, which ferry people.
SuMo told reporters that the chief minister said he had no idea about which department had organised the kite-flying festival on the Ganga diara in Patna during Makar Sankranti. All indications suggest that there was total lack of interest and coordination.
“Has Nitish Kumar stopped monitoring these two departments,” the former deputy CM, who was strongly criticized after November 12, 2012 Chhath tragedy, said. The state government was caught napping then too.
