SuMo refuses to apologize after Lalu claimed Rama Devi’s gift was cancelled in 1993 itself
Patna,(BiharTimes): Senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi on Thursday refused to apologise to RJD chief Lalu Prasad, who said on Wednesday he would file a defamation suit against the former for levelling false charges against his family.
Lalu had, with the help of documents, claimed on Wednesday the gift deed was cancelled in June 1993 itself and that it did not have the consent of Tej or his family.
The leader of opposition in Bihar legislative council had on Tuesday alleged that BJP MP, Rama Devi, who was earlier with Lalu’s party, gifted 13.12 acres of land in Muzaffarpur to Tej Ptatap, in 1992 when he was four year old.
SuMo reiterated that the Lalu family got gifts of land from eight different people, including former Union ministers, in lieu of RJD's election tickets and ministerial berths arranged by the RJD president.
The BJP leader said that he was not scared scared of Lalu’s defamation threat.
