Journalists seek action against securitymen involved in assault
Patna,(BiharTimes): A dat after the mnanhandling of journalists mediapersons on Thursday evening met state DGP P K Thakur and demanded action against policemen attached as security to deputy chief minister Tejaswi Yadav and his elder brother Tej Pratap Yadav, the health minister.
In their memorandum the mediapersons said that the scribes were assaulted while they were speaking to the deputy chief minister after the cabinet meeting on Friday. They requested the DGP to take action against those involved in assault within 72 hours.
According to Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Alok Raj, who was present when mediapersons met the DGP, suitable action would be taken after proper perusal of the video clippings of the incident.
A TV footage showed a security man grabbing a cameraman by his collar and thrashing him.
