Embarrassments galore for JD(U) even as party screams ‘principled stand’

Patna,(BiharTimes): Though legally RJD is in trouble after the lodging of FIR against  deputy chief minister Tejashwi Prasad Yadav politically Janata Dal (United) continues to face embarrassment.

A couple of day after a sting operation was done by a TV channel, a  Hindi daily, Jansatta, on Thursday carried a story claiming that at least 20 out of 71 JD(U) MLAs are opposed to the party’s stand against Tejashwi.

This comes even after top JD(U) leaders like former national president Sharad Yadav, senior minister Bijendra Yadav and former speaker Uday Narayan Chaudhary had cautioned the party before demanding the resignation of deputy CM.

As if that was not enough came a sting operation by Times Now.

Party’s prominent television face Shyam Rajak was caught mocking the CM’s ‘principled stand’ on corruption.

“One wants power and the other wants power for family,” he was quoted as saying. He was obviously referring to Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad.

What came as a big embarrassment for the JD(U) is that till recently he used to be seen in camera stoutly championing the stand of Nitish Kumar.

Now he is not available to talk to the media.

Independent observers are surprised over the way legislators of JD(U) are not finding themselves in a comfortable position over the stand of leadership. Instead of RJD it is JD(U) which is facing political crisis.
