A fortnight after CBI raids deadlock continues

Patna,(BiharTimes): With the departure of chief minister Nitish Kumar to Delhi and his scheduled stay in the national capital till at least July 25 the spotlight over the Tejashwi Yadav issue has somewhat shifted away from Bihar.

Nitish will not only meet Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, but is likely to call on leaders of various parties, even the BJP. He still has many good friends in the saffron party as 17 years is too long an association.

Political observers are of the view that a four day stay in Delhi at this crucial juncture is too much.

A fortnight has passed since the CBI raids and lodging of case against the deputy chief minister but nothing has happened in Bihar. Now that Nitish would be out of Patna the JD(U) spokesmen may not be so vocal in their demand for Tejashwi’s resignation.

Back in Patna the absence of Nitish Kumar may give breathing time to the faction within JD(U), which is opposed to snapping of ties with RJD.
