Cong asks JD(U) to explain what transpired in Nitish, Tejashwi meet
Patna,(BiharTimes): Ahead of Nitish Kumar-Rahul Gandhi talks on Saturday the Congress on Friday asked the JD(U) to disclose the details of the meeting between chief minister and his deputy Tejashwi Prasad Yadav.
Countering the Janata Dal (United)’s repeated attack on RJD, Congress leader Dilip Chaudhary asked why are JD(U) spokespersons only asking Tejashwi to come out with an explanation? Why are they not disclosing what transpired between the chief minister and his deputy?
Analysts are of the view that the Bihar Congress, which has been playing the role of a peacemaker in the standoff between the RJ(D) and Janata Dal (United) is now tilting towards Lalu Prasad after Tejaswi’s meeting with the chief minister.
In private state Congress leaders are more critical of JD(U)’s changing demands.
“First the JD(U) spokesmen demanded that Tejashwi should meet Nitish. Now that the meeting has taken place and he explained his position they are demanding that Tejashwi should explain to the people. What is this?” Congress leaders are asking.
