JD(U) minister’s resignation would have been sought much earlier: Tyagi

Patna,(BiharTimes): Though the state JD(U) spokesmen have been asked not to speak anything against RJD leadership the national spokesmen of the party, K C Tyagi, came out with a statement on Wednesday.

Commenting on the non-acceptance of the demand of resignation by deputy chief minister Tejashwi Prasad Yadav the Rajya Sabha MP said that had the name of a JD (U) minister figured in any FIR the chief minister would have sought his resignation as he had never compromised on the issue of corruption.

However, Tyagi went on to say that Grand Alliance is in tact and brushed aside all speculations of any split.

On the pre-ponement of JD(U) legislature party meeting he said that it was a normal pre-Assembly session exercise and it has nothing to do with the latest political development. It is an old tradition.  Legislators of all the parties meet before every session, be it of RJD, Congress or even the BJP. No meaning should be attributed to it.

On BJP’s deadline on Tejashwi’s resignation, he said that as an opposition party it has every right to give such ultimatum.
