Lady cop dismissed after falling in love with gangster
Patna,(BiharTimes) Bhagalpur senior superintendent of police (SSP) Manoj Kumar on Tuesday
ordered dismissal of constable Priti Kumari for leaking confidential information to a notorious gangster, Mithu Sah, in Sitamarhi district, whom the lady cop had secretly married at a temple.
Sitamarhi superintendent of police (SP) Hari Prasath S said by marrying a person with criminal antecedents, she had given the force a bad name. It is on the SP’s recommendation that Priti was sacked.
Reports said that Priti fell in love with Mithu when she was posted at the Sitamarthi woman police station in 2016. The two used to meet secretly outside the Sitamarhi police lines where Priti lived. The SP came to know about her affair, after which he ordered a probe. He said the allegations were found to be true.
Priti was served a show-cause notice and departmental proceedings were initiated against her for leaking confidential information to a most wanted criminal.
