SuMo now goes ‘flat’ out against Rabri Devi’s properties in Patna

Patna,(BiharTimes): On a day the Income Tax Department charged family members of RJD chief Lalu Prasad under the Benami Transactions Act senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi on Tuesday alleged that some people gave plots of land to former chief minister Rabri Devi in lieu of her husband extending undue favours to them when he was the railway minister (2004-2009).

According to SuMo at least two buildings have been built on such plots in Patna in which Rabri Devi owns 18 flats and an equal number of parking spaces.

Sushil Modi, who was Bihar’s deputy CM then, claimed that the current market price of the properties situated near Saguna More and Sheikhpura  was more than Rs 20 crore.

The leader of opposition in Bihar Legislative Council said he would submit the documents he has on the assets of Lalu’s family to the Income Ttax Department and other agencies.

Addressing mediapersons on the sidelines of Janata Darbar SuMo also said he is being compelled to do so because chief minister Nitish Kumar did not do anything despite the fact that he wrote letters to the latter.
