SuMo reiterates BJP’s support for Nitish’s JD(U)

Patna,(BiharTimes): On the day alliance partner Hindustani Awam Morcha president, Jitan Ram Manjhi, hit out at the Bihar BJP leadership for inviting chief minister Nitish Kumar to NDA fold the leader of opposition in the state legislative council, Sushil Kumar Modi, said on Wednesday his party (BJP) would support Janata Dal (United) as and when required.

This gesture came after Nitish Kumar offered his party’s support to the BJP’s Presidential candidate and outgoing Bihar governor, Ramnath Kovind.

Nitish’s support to Kovind, in place of UPA’s Meira Kumar landed the Grand Alliance in Bihar in turmoil.

Observers feel that even many within JD(U) are feeling uneasy and may not toe the party line.

When required BJP would strongly stand behind Nitish Kumar and would not let his government fall, SuMo told newsmen in Ajnaura in Nalanda district on Wednesday.
