SuMo drags Speaker’s office in BSSC scam, CM hits back

Patna,(BiharTimes): Without naming him senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi on Tuesday targeted Bihar Assembly Speaker Vijay Kumar Chaudhary for his alleged involvement in the scam related to Bihar Staff Selection Commission question papers leak.

He demanded action against senior Janata Dal (United) leaders, ministers and legislators of the Grand alliance for sending recommendation to arrested Chairman of Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC), Sudhir Kumar.

Talking to the media outside Legislative Council SuMo, without naming the Speaker alleged that a senior JD(U) leader had sent SMS to Sudhir Kumar in favour of some candidates. The former deputy CM distributed a print copy of purported details of SMS allegedly sent by private secretary of the Speaker to the BSSC Chairman on January 9 and January 20.

The print copy of the SMS mentions name of the Speaker’s PS.

When contacted by the media Chaudhary said he would comment only after acquiring information on it.

It needs to be recalled that chief minister Nitish Kumar, while replying to motion of thanks on Governor’s address to the joint sitting, pointed out that the print copy of the SMS details distributed by a senior BJP leader against Speaker mentions exam conducted for the post of ANM (Auxiliary nurse midwife) and not about clerical grade test in which paper was leaked.

The chief minister came down heavily on the BJP for trying to put the government on dock on every issue by spreading sensation through baseless statements.
