HC lawyer files PIL against human chain of IAS officers
Patna,(BiharTimes): Patna High Court lawyer M P Sengar on Wednesday filed a public interest litigation against the state’s IAS officers for forming a human chain in front of Raj Bhavan on February 26 to protest the arrest of Bihar Staff Selection Commission chairman, Sudhir Kumar.
The PIL called it a violation of Section 7 of the All India Services Rules, 1968, and Section 144 of the CrPC, enforced in the area for the Assembly’s budget session.
Section 7 says no officer can criticise a current or recent policy/action of the central or a state government. Section 144 deals with unlawful assembly.
