Patna,(BiharTimes): Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav suffered minor injuries after the dais of the religious even caved-in due to overcrowding.
Lalu, along with his sons deputy chief minister of Bihar Tejashwi Yadav and health minister Tej Pratap and daughter Misa Bharti, was attending a ‘yagna’ at Digha in Patna where the incident took place.
Lalu was immediately taken to the Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS) for a detailed checkup.
A video released by ANI said supporters of Lalu got excited after seeing him and rushed to the stage to welcome him. Though, a policemen was seen trying to stop the crowd, yet the situation went out of control and due to over weight the stage collapsed.
Doctors said they conducted an X-ray to assess his injury.
