Bihar boy Sumant Kumar Gupta secures fourth position in CLAT





Patna,(BiharTimes): For the first time, a student from Bihar Sumant Kumar Gupta of Purnea has figured in the top-10 rank of Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), the results of which were announced on Monday.

He secured the fourth position with 147.50 marks out of the total 196.

Sumant, son of a businessman in Purnea, did his schooling from Sainik School Goalpara in Assam. He secured 87.5 per cent in Class XII.

According to him a profession in law has always fascinated him. He started preparing for CLAT from Class-XI and studied six to seven hurs daily.

Rajat Maloo of Rajasthan has been declared the topper with 154.25 marks.

>The second position went to Vihit Ashish Sah of Maharashtra. He has secured 150.25 marks.

Radhika Sarda, also of Rajasthan, secured the third position with 148.5 marks.

This was the first time that Chanakya National Law University had organised the CLAT. The online examination  was held on May 14 at eight centres in the state. Patna had seven centres and one at Muzaffarpur.
