Bihar CM predicts BJP win in Gujarat

Patna,(BiharTimes): Chief minister Nitish Kumar on Monday predicted a comfortable BJP victory in Gujarat and said that there is no threat to the saffron party in that western state.

He said that he made similar prediction ahead of the UP poll earlier this year adding that this is his personal understanding of the situation in Gujarat.

Talking to the mediapersons after weekly Lok Samwad he said that before arriving at any conclusion one has to gauge public sentiment and asked: “Will the people of the state which has an incumbent PM go on to vote against his party.”

He rejected the perception largely created by the media that Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi is emerging as a challenger in Gujarat.

However, he asked the mediapersons to wait till the elections are over and only than he wold meet them.

Nitish was a bit dismayed with the media’s projection of Rahul Gandhi in Gujarat and Lalu Prasad in Bihar.
