As Nitish assures action SIT carries raids to nab Toilet Scam accused

Patna,(BiharTimes): Even as chief minister Nitish Kumar on Monday warned that those found guilty in the Toilet Scam––or in any other scandals––would not be spared the Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted by Patna police, is carrying out raids at different places in Bihar and in neighbouring Jharkhand to trace the kingpin.

Public health and engineering department (PHED) executive engineer Vinay Kumar Sinha, accountant Biteshwar Prasad and Uday Singh, who runs Adi Shakti Seva Sansthan in Nawada are the main accused.

A couple of days back the SIT arrested State Bank of India manager of Buxar in this connection.

Raids are being conducted at Patna, Nawada, Bakhtiyarpur (also in Patna district) and different teams are also camping in Delhi, Chennai and Ranchi.

Besides, SBI manager the SIT last Friday arrested three persons, including Priti Bharti, a data entry operator in the office of the absconding PHED executive engineer Vinay Kumar Sinha, Boby Kumari, an office-bearer at the NGO Maa Sarveshwari Seva Sansthan (Bakhtiyarpur), and her husband Praveen Kumar Sharma.

Preliminary investigation reveals money was transferred into the accounts of four Patna-based NGOs. They are Adi Shakti Seva Sansthan (Patna), Maa Sarveshwari Seva Sansthan (Bakhtiyarpur), Satyam Shivam Kala Kendra (Patna) and Shiv Seva Sansthan (Maner).
