Patna,(BiharTimes): A division bench of Chief Justice Rajendra Menon and Justice Anil Kumar Upadhyay of the Patna high court on Tuesday validated the amendments made in the Bihar Panchayati Raj Act which was made for implementation of two of the Seven Resolves of chief minister Nitish Kumar.

The court also dismissed the two separate writ petitions filed by the Bihar Pradesh Mukhiya Mahasangh on June 22 and July 5.

The Mahasangh had challenged the amendments in the Act through which the state government formed Ward Implementation Committee for execution of Nal-jal and Nali-gali project under which the CM had promised for piped-water supply and drainage system in each village across the state.

After the amendments Ward Implementation Committee was formed. It would consist of seven private members and a major part of funds allocated to the panchayats by central government would be handed over to the Committee for the execution of the two  resolves.
