Patna,(BiharTimes): Rashtriya Janata Dal has accused the Janata Dal (United) of contesting the Assembly election in Gujarat to help the alliance partner the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Talking to the mediapersons on Saturday RJD leader Shivanand Tiwary said that though the JD(U) had not even 100 candidates to field yet it is contesting election in that state obviously to put up candidates in such a way as it would help the BJP.

On the other hand the JD(U) spokesman, Neeraj Kumar, strongly hit back at Tiwary stating that “we are at least contesting the election, what about RJD.”

Meanwhile, JD(U) sources conceded that the party is contesting election in Gujarat only to help the BJP.

While talking to the BiharTimes one of the leaders said the plan is to put up maximum number of Patel candidates, obsiously to cut the Congress votes.

He said that “it is our duty to help ‘Bade Bhai’ in the election.” When reminded that till a few months back Lalu Prasad used to be the ‘Bade Bhai’ the JD(U) leader replied jokingly: “it keeps changing.”
