None of Bihar district in the list of 192 declared open defecation free

Patna,(BiharTimes): None of 192 districts declared open defecation free in the country belongs to Bihar.
Rohtas district, where over 95 per cent households have toilets, narrowly missed this achievement.

Official sources said some households in Rohtasgarh in rural Rohtas and Dehri-on-Sone in urban area of the district have yet not been equipped with toilets.

The pace of toilet construction has not been up to the mark in the state.

According to official figure about 8,000 toilets are being constructed in the state per day on average whereas the state needs to construct around 25,000 toilets per day if India is to be made open defecation free by the end of 2019.

Flood in large part of north Bihar is being attributed to the slow pace of construction work.
