Patna,(BiharTimes): The Bihar cabinet on Tuesday approved the revision of various perks and allowances to its employees on the pattern of Seventh Pay Commission report.
They would now be entitled for a hike in their entitlements from the date of notification, likely to be issued on Wednesday.
The amendment in the rates of allowances had been pending since the introduction of revised pay-scales from April this year.
The major hike in benefits comes in the form of house rent allowance (HRA).
The decision is being interpreted as Diwali gift for the employees.
