PM Modi befooled Nitish on central university status for PU: Lalu
Patna,(BiharTimes): Stating that the central university demand for Patna University was in fact of RJD since it was in power, party supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav on Saturday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi befooled chief minister Nitish Kumar in full public view.
Commenting on the PM’s visit to Patna Science College Lalu said that in the name of centenary celebration of PU the BJP played politics. “It was less a function of Patna University and more a show of the Bharatiya Janata Party,” he added.
“With folded hands Nitish begged for the central university status, but Narendra Modi did not give a toss (‘ghuma diya’). He befooled the Bihar CM and the latter could not make out anything.
Incidentally, neither Lalu nor former finance minister Yashwant Sinha and cine-star and local MP Shatrughan Sinha, all former students of PU, were present on the occasion. Shatru, however, said that he got the invitation too late.
