Kanhaiya likely to be CPI candidate in 2019 Lok Sabha poll





Patna,(BiharTimes): The former president of Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union, Kanhaiya Kumar, is expected to contest the 2019 Lok Sabha election from Bihar as the candidate of Left Front.

According to  CPI National Council Secretary K R Naraina, the fromer students’ leader would contest on a Communist Party of India (CPI) ticket. The CPI is a constituent of the Left Front.

Kanhaiya will contest from his home constituency, Begusarai.

 Naraina was in Patna to participate in the state executive meeting of the party.

Naraina said leaders of the Left parties wanted to field him from Kerala, but the Bihar unit thought that a victory would be quite certain for Kanhaiya if he contest from his home state.
