RJD, CPI (ML) ridicule Lalan’s ratty excuse, seek resignation

Patna,(BiharTimes): Ridiculing water resources minister Lalan Singh’s statement accusing rats for the breaches in embankments opposition RJD and CPI (ML) on Friday urged the Nitish Kumar government to better leave

RJD spokesman Shakti Singh Yadav alleged that by making such statement Bihar government is trying to hide its failures.

“Sometimes they say that the rats have consumed the seized liquor, then they blame them for the floods. If rats are causing so much of problem, then they should come up with a plan to tackle them. But they haven’t done anything about that as these are baseless arguments,” he said.

On the other hand the CPI(ML) `has demanded resignation of water resources department (WRD) minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh, alleging that his department failed to strengthen embankments and canals which led to massive floods.

Not only the political parties even independent experts are questioning the minister’s remarks and called it irresponsible.
