Bomb explosions rock Patna College as students clash
Patna,(BiharTimes): Explosions rocked Patna College campus on Saturdaynoon as two groups of students clashed outside the principal’s office over the allotment of room in hostels.
Incidentally, the clash took place in presence of the SHO of Peerbahore Police Station and a handful of policemen.
Eye-witnesses said that at least five bombs were thrown in the clash. Four of them exploded while the fifth remained unexploded.
City SP and Town DSP rushed to the spot with more police force.
This is not the first time that Patna College or any other campus of Patna University has turned into battleground.
The bone of contention, according to students, was the allotment of hostel rooms.
The clashing students had covered their faces to conceal their identity.
Police are raiding Mintu Hostel.
The clash sparked off after some students approached the principal for the allotment of rooms.
Suddenly clash sparked off to be followed by explosions.
Patna College is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.
