Jharkhand to set up cyber police stations in all districts





Ranchi, Sep 19 (IANS) To fight the rising menace of cyber crime, Jharkhand Police on Tuesday said it will set up cyber police stations in all 24 districts of the state.

"To deal with cyber crime, cyber police stations will be set up in all 24 districts of the state. In first phase, seven such police stations will be set up at places where cyber crimes are frequent," Director General of Police D.K. Pandey told reporters here.

Pandey said 357 people have been trained to deal with the cyber crimes in the state.

He also asked people to stay alert against cyber criminals and stressed on taking measures to stop youth from getting involved in cyber crimes.

Speaking on the Maoists, Pandey said the violence-related incidents had declined up to 40 per cent in the state. He also appealed Maoists to shun violence.
