Development commissioner Shishir Sinha and Begusarai DM take voluntary retirement from service





PATNA: The development commissioner Shishir Sinha, took from the service (VRS) on Saturday, three months ahead of his scheduled retirement on July 31.

Sinha applied for the VRS on April 28 itself and the state government granted him retirement on the same day on ‘personal reasons’ while relaxing the provision of giving a notice to the state government three months prior to the date of planned voluntary retirement.

Sinha is likely to be appointed him as the Bihar Public Service Commission’s (BPSC) chairman said sources. He is also happen to be the son-in-law of BJP’s former state president and Rajya Sabha member C P Thakur.

State’s chief secretary Anjani Kumar Singh was given the additional charge of development commissioner till a full-fledged officer is posted there.

While another IAS officer Begusarai DM Mohammad Naushad Yusuf also took VRS on Saturday, two months ahead of his scheduled retirement on June 30 this year. He may be appointed as member of Bihar Public Service Commission’s (BPSC).
