New Delhi (BihaTimes) Former Union Minister Raghunath Jha passed away in the national capital’s Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital on late Sunday night.
He was 78. He was a member of several political parties throughout his carrier, including Socialist Party, Congress, Rashtriya Janata Dal, and Samajwadi Party.He represented the Bettiah constituency of Bihar and was a member of the Rashtriya Janata Dal.Jha was the Union minister of State for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprise in the then Manmohan Singh government.
He was one of the three chief ministerial candidates in Bihar after the 1990 assembly polls.
The former minister’s body will reach Patna in the afternoon and the last rites will be performed at his village in Sheohar district.
