Patna(BiharTimes):The Union ministry of home affairs (MHA) has upgraded Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar's security to Z plus category based on the latest threat perception.. Currently, Kumar is under Z category security cover.
Home ministry was prompted to enhance Kumar’s security after his cavalcade was recently attacked by a stone-pelting mob in Buxar district last week in which several security personnel were injured.
A politician bestowed with the highest category of 'Z plus' protection is secured round the clock by at least 40 police personnel drawn from paramilitary forces, such as the National Security Guard, Central Reserve Police Force, Indo Tibetan Border Police Force and Central Industrial Security Force
