Gaya cops in dock even after cracking gang rape case





Patna : With the cracking of Sondiha gang rape case of a woman and her minor daughter by a group of criminals engaged in road robbery, the Gaya police of late cleared the smoke on names of key suspects that not only triggered the fresh political brick batting  but  also  stirred the fresh caste cauldron in sensitive Magadh region.


Deviating from earlier investigation, police team had arrested, Nitish Paswan, Nirbhay Paswan and Bablu Paswan all of them from Kamaldah village of Pariya along with looted belongingness of the gang rape victims. "Raju Paswan, Karu Paswan and  Navlesh Paswan  had raped the woman and her minor daughter" disclosed Nitish Paswan in front of media persons.


When asked about the role of two youth earlier arrested from Sondiha village as key upects, SSP Gaya-Rajiv Mishra confessed that there is no concrete evidence against youth arrested from village Sondiha. He even talked of deleting their names from FIR.


But the way police handled this sensitive case put them in dock as  they arrested more than a dozen youth in the late night of 13th June after this incident and given them a thrash considering as key suspects.


"How the police concluded that this crime was done by the villagers without even a tiny shred of evidence and acted like a British police by ruthless inhuman treatment meted out to innocent villagers" said Arun Kumar a Sondiha resident."The police has tried to malign the image of our village  on the tip of local politicians" alleged Kumar.


"Villagers will leave no stone unturned to punish these police officers who acted in purely unprofessional manner" he added.
