JEE Main 2019: NTA can Reject Applications Without any Notification






The First leg of JEE Main 2019 already conducted in January. Now NTA is all set to conduct their second session of entrance in April. Regarding that, a new notification is out. As per the notification, candidates can lose their candidature without prior notice if they end up filing multiple applications for JEE Main April 2019 examination.

About the Notification

The National Testing Agency released a new notice for the Joint Engineering Entrance (JEE) applicants. According to the notification released, the agency has notified that the applications of aspirants in case of multiple filing. NTA in the official notification states that “It has been noted that many aspirants for JEE Main April session examination are filing online application multiple times.”

“As per rules, a candidate can submit only one application at a time. In case of more than one application submission, which happens to be multiple submissions, such applications will be rejected by our agency”, further added NTA.

Based on the circular released, the NTA has also highlighted that applications of candidates who have to fill the online form for JEE Main 2019 April Session exam will be rejected without any intimation or official notification being sent to them. In case the candidate has already applied for the January session of the exam, then such aspirants are not required to register once again, and they can start filling the form for April 2019 exam right away.

What are the Steps to Prevent Cancellation of the Application?

In order clear, the obscurity surrounding the exam and prevent the cancellation of application, herein, below is listed the detailed process. Check out below for the same:

Step 1: Visit the official website of JEE at jeemain.nic.in.

Step 2: At the homepage of the JEE Website and click on “apply for JEE Main (April) 2019 session” icon.

Step 3: For candidates who had not applied for the January exam must click on “proceed to apply” button under “fresh candidate register.”

In case the aspirant had already applied for the January exam, then s/he may proceed to apply for the April exam without registering once again. Such candidates must click on “proceed to apply” button under “registered candidates log-in”.

(Note: The login credentials will be the same as that set during the January exam registration.)

 Step 4: Ensure to read the entire instruction carefully before clicking on the checkbox.

Step 5: Registered candidates can log in directly for filling the forms.

Step 6: Fresh candidates must first register themselves and then proceed to fill the form.

Step 7: Once the forms are filled, ensure to note down the system generated application number which will be needed for further correspondence.

Step 8: Upload the scanned copies of all the mentioned documents. And proceed further to pay the fees.

JEE Main 2019 Fees for Cancelled Application

In case of cancellation of application, the cancelled transactions and the amount will be automatically refunded by the concerned bank to the concerned candidate’s debit or credit card. It will be transferred within 15 days from the last date of application form submission.

JEE Main April 2019 Exam

The JEE Main 2019 examination for January session was held from January 08, 2019. As per reports, over nine lakh candidates appeared for the examination in the month of January. The result for the session was released on January 19, 2019.

However, candidates who did not appear or have already appeared for the January session, yet wish to try their luck once more can also appear for the JEE Main April 2019 exam. The application forms for the April Session can be filled online through the official website of NTA.

JEE Main 2019 Result

Out of the two sessions, the NTA will choose the best scores and consider it for preparing the final Merit List/ Ranking. The overall ranks will be disclosed once the result of both the sessions is out. Thus, if the candidates were not able to perform well in the previous session must perform better in the April session exam.
