Flood affected people protest outside Dy CM’s house

 





Patna:   A large number of people of Rajendra Nagar area here protested outside Dy CM Sushil Kumar Modi’s house over a fortnight long water-logging  in the area.

Even after a fortnight, water has now not completely receded in some low-lying localities and garbage has now not been cleared in some pockets.

Carrying placards, Patna residents shouted slogans and demanded scuttle against officers who they talked about failed in their duties

“Sushil Modi left us in the lurch and moved to his government residence” said one of the protester who is living in close vicinity of deputy chief minister.

Its worth mentioning, during water logging,Sushi Modi and his family members were rescued by the NDRF team.

Another resident Hari Singh alleged.”It was complete failure of governance and government agencies failed miserably making their life hell for such a long period. We  were  without electricity and water for such a long time” he added

“Modi started his career by protesting against water logging in Rajendra Nagar and Kankarbagh areas and being in power for almost 15 years couldn’t do anything” said Navendu Kumar a resident of Rajendra Nagar.

The BJP leader, however, was not present during the protest, official sources said adding that security has been beefed up at Modi’s residence. Angry people, carrying placards, shouted anti-Modi slogans and demanded action against officials who failed to flush out water fully in Rajendra Nagar area, making their lives difficult.
