|            | Patna, (Bihar Times): With the withdrawal of the Lok
Janshakti Party candidate, Shobha Yadav, from the
Bikramganj parliamentary by-poll the contest has
virtually become one to one with the RJD’s Ashok
Khushwaha set to take on Janata Dal (United) Meena
Singh, the first wife of late, Ajit Singh, who died in
  an accident last August.
Earlier the Nationalist Congress Party too withdrew
its candidate. The LJP withdrawal came after the
intervention of the Congress high command. The united
fight by UPA may pose a big challenge to the ruling
Janata Dal (United), where there is no dearth of
  dissidents.

The withdrawal of the LJP suggests that whatever may
be the utterances of its leader Ram Vilas Paswan the
truth is that he will have to make compromise with the
other UPA constituents and concede the limitation of
 his party.
