    (United) leader Anand   Mohan Singh has once again gone
    on hunger strike inside the Bhagalpur Central   Jail. He
    was sentenced to death on October 3 last for murdering
    the then   Gopalganj district magistrate, G Krishnaiya,
    in December 1994. 
 He went   on strike on Wednesday demanding better
    facilities in jail. Anand, it must be   reminded, went
    on indefinite  hunger strike on November 4 as well.
    That   was soon after he was shifted from Beur Central
    Jail of Patna to Bhagalpur   Central Jail. He was
    hospitalized and had to break his fast after 20   days
    following the request from her mother, Geeta Devi.
 
 Thirty-one   other prisoners are on strike inside the
    jail. They include former minister   Akhlaque Ahmad and    former legislator Arun Kumar, both   sentenced to death  
    in the same case.
 
 As per the jail manual a   prisoner who gets death
    sentence has to sleep on the ground with only   two  
            
    blankets and has to be   provided simple food.
