|            | Patna,   (Bihar Times): The result of the Junior
  Engineers examination conducted by the   Staff Selection
  Commission was rejected by the Patna high court   on    Tuesday. The examination for 2,268 junior engineers of
    water resources   and road construction departments was
    held on November 19, 2006.
 Mr   Justice V N Sinha directed the Commission to hold
    another examination within   90 days. The high court
    clarified that the appointment of those who   had
    already been selected should also be cancelled within
    the next three   weeks. The high court asked the
    appointing authorities to serve notice on   them.
 
 The court was responding to the petition of Ajay Kumar
    and about   50 other petitioners. They  complained of
    improper evaluation of the answer   sheets and other
    irregularities in the selection process. The court
    also   asked the state government to proceed against the
    erring officials and file   action taken report within six months.
 
 The result was declared on   November 26 last and 210
    successful candidates have already joined their   posts.
