|            | Patna, (Bihar Times): Blaming the media for
misquoting him on the issue Union health minister Dr A
Ramadoss has clarified his recent comment that a
doctor from Bihar who did not know where a spleen is
in a human body, was the sole reason for
de-recognition by United Kingdom of Indian medical
    degrees in the 1970s.
In a letter written to his cabinet colleague and
railway minister, Lalu Yadav and Bihar chief minister,
Nitish Kumar, Ramadoss wrote that Bihar is the land of
the Buddha and “I am an ardent admirer of the
scholarship and wisdom propagated by the great Nalanda
    University in the ancient period.”

The letter said that he was proud of the contributions
made by the great political leaders and social justice
pioneers of Bihar like Jayaprakash Narayan, Ram
    Manohar Lohia and Karpoori Thakur.

It needs to be mentioned here that Lohia was not from
    Bihar, but east Uttar Pradesh.
