|            | Patna,   (Bihar Times): The Bikramganj by-election held
    on Saturday passed off without   any untoward incident.
    However, only 32 per cent turnout was reported.   The
    constituency has little over 13.11 lakh voters.
 The election was   necessitated by the death of sitting
    Janata Dal United MP, Ajit Singh, who   died in an
    accient in August. Singh was also the chairman   of
    NAFED.
 
 However, reports said that the voters of Deorian
     village in Dehri assembly segment   boycotted the bypoll
    to protest lack of development.
 
 Ajit Kumar Singh’s widow, Meena Singh, and RJD's   Ashok
      Kumar Kushwaha are the main contenders. The counting
      of votes will   be held on January 2.
