|            | Patna, (Bihar Times): The chief minister, Nitish Kumar,
laid the foundation stone of Bettiah Medical College
amidst protest by the people and alleged mishehaviour
of the district magistrate of West Champaran, Mihir
  Singh, with the mediapersons.
The chief minister was accompanied by the health
minister, Chandra Mohan Rai, and stressed on the
importance of medical college in the district. The
central government has also given assistance of Rs 10
crore each to the state government to build three
medical colleges––one each in Bettiah, Madhepura and
  Nalanda (Pawapuri).

However, as the chief minister was laying the
foundation stone some people, who have been living in
that particular piece of land for long, protested
against their eviction. When some newsmen approached
the district magistrate to seek his opinion he
reportedly told the newsmen that Neta Log to latrine
ka bhi undghaten karte rahte hain (Leaders used to
inaugurate the latrines too). He also misbehaived with
  an electronic media reporter.
