|            | Patna, (Bihar Times): In a   significant political move 
  the Nationalist Congress Party on Sunday decided   to 
  support the Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate for 
  Bikramganj by-election,   Dr Ashok Kumar Khushwaha. The 
  election is due on December 29.
 This was   announced by the state party president, 
  Upendra Prasad Khushwaha, at a press   conference in 
  Patna. He said that his party was against the division 
  in   the votes of social justice group.
 
 The election was necessitated by the   death of Ajit 
  Singh, the sitting Janata Dal (United) member of 
  Parliament.   Singh died in a road mishap in August 
  last. His first wife, Meena Singh, is   now the party 
  nominee for the by-election.
 
 On the other hand the Lok   Janshakti Party has 
  nominated, Shobha Yadav, as its candidate for   the 
  by-poll.
