|            | Patna,   (Bihar Times): Three Patna-based prominent 
  health centres: Mahavir Cancer   Sansthan, Mahavir
  Arogya Sansthan and Mahavir Vatsalya Aspatal,   besides
  Bharatiya Nritya Kala Mandir have sought Magadh
  University   affiliation to launch a number of degree
  and diploma courses. They will also   promote a number
  of research work in respective fields.
 
  According to   the director of the Mahavir Cancer
  Sansthan Dr Jitendra Singh the three   health centres
  running under the Mahavir Temple Trust have decided   to
  introduce over a dozen courses including those on
  Bio-Technology,   Bio-Physics, Genomics, Water and
  Environment Management and Hazardous Effects   of
  Pesticides. 
 Dr Jitendra Singh said that the Magadh   University
  affiliation would also help carry out research works
  on cancer   related issues at Mahavir Cancer Sansthan.
 
 Acharya Kishore Kunal the   Administrator of the
  Religious Trust Board said the affiliation would   help
  open the new vistas for education and research.
 
 The vice   chancellor of Magadh University, Prof B N
  Pandey, assured that the   affiliation to these centres
  would soon be granted.
