Kalam to inaugurate Bihar global meet

Patna: President A.P.J Abdul Kalam will inaugurate the first ever Bihar global meet to be held here from Jan 19-21. This meet is being organised by the and the Institute for Human Development.

Kalam, who has a soft corner for Bihar, sees the state as a hub of knowledge, intellect and hard working people. The consent by the President to inaugurate this mega event on the theme "resurgent Bihar" indeed came as a gift for the Nitish Kumar-led NDA government which promised to rebuild the state under the new regime.

Experts and investors from India and abroad are expected to participate in the conference that intends to repackage Bihar as an investment destination.

Bihar is keen to attract foreign investment in agriculture, health, IT and tourism.

About 500 eminent international personalities, including 50 non-resident Indians (NRIs), are expected to attend.
