Doctors to go on strike from December 5

 

Patna, (Bihar Times): Doctors of the state under the banner of Bihar State Health Services Association will go on strike from December 5 to press their charter of demands, which include the payment of central pay scale to them.

The doctors rejected the health minister, Chandra Mohan Rai’s plea to give up strike call.

The Association said that unless and until the state government gives their assurance in writing it is not going to call off the strike. The Associaiton also threatened that the strike would be complete and even the emergency services would be paralysed.

Dr Ram Nagina Prasad Singh, the president of the Association said after the executive committee meeting on Sunday that notwithstanding the assurance by the chief minister, Nitish Kumar, to meet the demad of the medical officers, including the central pay scale and dynamic ACP the health department did not take any initiative.
